Silica Law Changes Explained

Weathertex Tuesday Webinar with Tony Lopez from HIA

The recent introduction of new silica laws in Australia has significantly impacted the construction industry, particularly regarding the handling and processing of materials containing crystalline silica substances (CSS). These regulations aim to protect workers by controlling the risks associated with inhaling silica dust, which can lead to serious health issues such as silicosis.

Although Weathertex products are exempt from these requirements because we are made from hardwood timber with no silica, it’s essential to stay informed.

We will be discussing these crucial changes and their impact on residential construction across all states.

We are excited to have Tony Lopez, Assistant Director OHS Policy from HIA, as our special guest. Tony will guide us through the recent legislative updates and provide valuable insights into how these new laws will affect.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to stay ahead of the curve.
